Happy x Loco — Uzay Gallery

In 2022 we hosted Jeremy Salazar (HAPPYXLOCO) from Albuquerque New Mexico, for a month long residency which culminated in an immersive runway fashion show. They created a collection on-site from thrifted and found materials that was shown on a lineup of community models spanning gender, body type, and age - 18 to 84! The show was produced by Uzay Gallery’s Liz Cahill with the assistance of Kelsie Jones, and Jules Hansen. Kelsie managed the models and produced a capsule collection of resin and found object jewelry (Gaiame Jewelry) to accompany the looks. Jules led styling and make-up artistry.

The runway show was live scored by Ariel Corbo on electric violin and afterwards the crowd was treated to DJ sets from James Julius and Payam Imani. Jeremy spray painted attendees outfits - giving everyone a chance to be part of HAPPYXLOCO.
